When you first get licensed in Oklahoma, you receive a Provisional Sales Associate license. It lets you work under a broker right away — but it comes with a requirement you must complete before it expires.
The 45-hour post-license requirement
Provisional Sales Associates must complete 45 clock hours of post-license education before the provisional license expires. This is separate from — and in addition to — the pre-license course you took to get licensed.
Post-licensing vs. continuing education
- Post-licensing is a one-time, 45-hour requirement in your first license term as a new agent.
- Continuing education (CE) is the ongoing requirement you complete every renewal to keep your license active.
